My name is Peter Andrews. I’m a third-year law student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in California. I’m originally from Wilmington, Delaware, and I graduated from Columbia University in 2014 with a B.A. in History.
This site started as the Internet blog of my semester studying at University College London, from January to May of 2013. It has since become an extremely irregular space for my thoughts on various topics.
Outside of my studies, I spend most of my free time impersonating a sports journalist/radio host. I write about the Philadelphia Union for the Philly Soccer Page, writing match reports for games as well as a semi-regular column called “For Pete’s Sake.” I host and produce a podcast about Ivy League basketball, On The Vine, for Ivy Hoops Online, which runs weekly during the Ivy basketball season. Along with Miles Johnson and Sam Tydings, two friends of mine from Columbia, I host and produce Basketball Court, an extremely silly podcast where we change NBA history and argue about the results. I am always on the lookout for opportunities in the fields of sportswriting and sports broadcasting.
At Columbia, I wrote a biweekly column about Columbia sports for the school’s newspaper, the Spectator, and you can find the complete archive of those under the “Sports Columns” tab. I also worked as a play-by-play commentator for WKCR 89.9 FM, the radio station of Columbia, for men’s and women’s basketball and baseball in the 2013-14 season.
